Madison is an industrial center located in western Somerset County just northwest of Skowhegan. 52 square miles, it is bounded on the west by the Kennebec River, with its downtown in the southwest corner. There is seasonal development surrounding Wesserunssett Lake in eastern Madison. U.S. 201 passes through the eastern half of town.
