Troy is a small farming community located in northern Waldo County, 22 miles east of Waterville and just adjacent to Unity. There are no commercial or residential concentrations in this town of under 1,000 people, but U.S. Route 202 bisects the town. The town covers 35 square miles, including a portion of Unity Pond.
