Municipal Planning Services
Planning staff provide assistance to comprehensive planning committees,
planning boards, appeals boards, code enforcement officers, and other
municipal officials with a variety of planning topics and responsibilities
including:
- Comprehensive
Planning and Implementation
- Land Use Planning
- Solid Waste
Planning and technical assistance
- Transportation
Planning and Regional Transportation Needs Assessments
These services
are funded through the State Planning Office, municipal dues, and
fee-for-service arrangements. Staff provides guidance ranging
from phone calls to attendance at meetings and field visits. Work
includes developing new ordinances, assisting
with ordinance amendments and
conducting workshops for individual member towns. Staff also assists
many towns to conduct reviews of large or complex subdivisions and
site plans.
